What Are the Veneer Options for Vertical Lift Walls?

Vertical lift walls offer a variety of veneer options, allowing you to choose from four dimensions: natural texture, wear-resistant and practical, environmentally friendly and safe, and high-end customization, based on different scene requirements and style preferences. Here's a detailed description:

Melamine Veneer: Decorative paper printed with wood grain or solid color patterns is impregnated with melamine resin and then hot-pressed onto the surface of particleboard, plywood, or other substrates under high temperature and pressure. Both sides are veneered. It has high surface hardness, excellent wear resistance, scratch resistance, and moisture resistance, making it suitable for damp areas. However, it only supports flat or simple milling designs; complex shapes require other options.

PVC Film: Using vacuum hot-pressing technology, a PVC film is tightly wrapped around the substrate, covering concave and convex three-dimensional shapes. Medium-density fiberboard is usually chosen as the substrate. From simple textures to complex carvings and retro lines, it can be achieved, suitable for European and American styles. It has excellent waterproof and moisture-proof properties, suitable for bathrooms and balconies, and does not require edge banding. However, its heat resistance is poor; prolonged exposure to high temperatures or sunlight can cause deformation and yellowing.

PET Veneer: A film made of polyethylene terephthalate (a food-grade material used to make mineral water bottles) is pressed onto the substrate surface under high temperature and pressure. It comes in two styles: matte and high-gloss. The matte version has a delicate feel like baby skin and is less prone to fingerprints; the high-gloss version has a mirror effect and vibrant colors. It is formaldehyde-free, does not release toxic substances, is oil-resistant and easy to clean, but the cost is higher, and the surface wear resistance is weaker than double-sided veneered panels.

Painted Finish: Multiple layers of paint (such as polyurethane paint) are repeatedly sprayed onto the surface of medium-density fiberboard or solid wood panels, and then cured at high temperatures. It comes in various types, including glossy, matte, metallic paint, and automotive paint. Automotive paint technology is advanced, providing the best texture, high color saturation, and a smooth, mirror-like surface, showcasing a sense of luxury. However, the paint surface has low hardness, is prone to peeling, and is difficult to repair, and the cost is also higher. It is suitable for high-end applications, such as living room TV cabinets and bedroom wardrobe doors.

Metal finishes: Including aluminum alloy, stainless steel, galvanized steel, etc., the surface is treated with anodizing or painting, presenting a variety of colors and textures. It is elegant and sophisticated, with high strength, light weight, and durability, and is fireproof, moisture-proof, and corrosion-resistant, making it suitable for high-end architectural decoration, such as elevator wall panels and main entrance door decoration.

Different finishes will present different styles. We need to make choices based on the actual scene, decorative style, personal preferences, and site requirements.
