In open-plan offices, multi-functional exhibition halls, or commercial spaces, vertical folding lifting walls have become a necessity due to their flexible space partitioning capabilities. However, how can vertical folding lifting walls achieve sound insulation comparable to professional soundproof booths? Through material innovation, structural optimization, and intelligent design, we reveal five cutting-edge sound insulation technologies for vertical lifting walls.
The sound insulation shortcomings of traditional partition walls often stem from insufficient material density.
Our vertical lifting walls adopt a multi-layer composite structure, with a high-strength metal frame on the outside and a combination of aerospace-grade sound insulation cotton + damping felt inside: the sound insulation cotton absorbs medium and high-frequency sound waves through its microporous structure, with a sound absorption coefficient of over 0.85; the high-molecular material of the damping felt suppresses the vibration of the metal frame, blocking the transmission path of low-frequency noise. The double-layer superposition forms a double defense of "absorption + blocking." Laboratory data shows that the sound insulation in a cavity state can reach 42 decibels, equivalent to reducing the noise of a busy street to the level of a library.
The fatal weakness of sound insulation often lies in the gaps. We have designed a triple sealing defense line for the lifting wall:
Top track sealing strip:
Using compressible silicone material, it automatically fills the gap between the wall panel and the track, adapting to different height adjustments; when the wall panel is closed, the built-in magnetic strip strongly attracts, forming an airtight barrier with the EPDM rubber strip; when the wall panel is lowered, the bottom sealing brush is pressed down by gravity, conforming to the unevenness of the ground, eliminating sound bridges. Tests show that our sealing system can reduce sound energy leakage by 15%, especially significantly improving the blocking effect on high-frequency noise.

The rigid structure of the metal frame easily becomes a "highway" for noise transmission. We break this path with modular vibration damping technology:
Independent wall panel units allow each panel to be connected to the frame via spring dampers, converting vibration energy; sound insulation pads are installed at the bottom of the wall system to isolate the upward transmission of ground vibrations; elastic buckles are used between wall panels to avoid resonance amplification caused by rigid splicing. This design increases structural sound transmission loss by 20%, ensuring a quiet office environment even when events are held in adjacent spaces.
Drawing on architectural acoustics principles, we designed a labyrinthine cavity inside the wall panels:
After sound waves enter the cavity, they repeatedly reflect and frictionally dissipate energy along the tortuous path. The inner wall of the cavity is covered with perforated sound-absorbing panels to further convert sound energy. The cavity thickness can be customized to match the absorption needs of different frequency ranges of noise. This "noise-canceling" design increases the sound insulation of medium and low-frequency noise by 10-15 decibels.
For extreme noise scenarios (such as concerts and server rooms), we offer an optional intelligent noise reduction module:
Environmental noise sensors are used to monitor the spatial sound pressure level in real time and automatically adjust the noise reduction strategy; the anti-phase sound wave generator generates sound waves with the opposite phase to the noise through algorithms, achieving active cancellation. This system can further reduce residual noise by 8-12 decibels, creating a nearly silent private space.
