At the Hilton Hotel’s new convention centre in Star Mountain Square, Port Moresby, two electric vertical retractable walls were installed to provide elegant, large-scale spatial flexibility. Measuring 18,900mm wide by 5,750mm high, each folding wall retracts seamlessly into the ceiling cavity, remaining completely out of sight when not in use.

At the push of a button, the vertically folding operable walls descend gracefully into position, transforming the open-plan area into individual rooms or breakout zones. They offer the flexibility to open up the floor space or create smaller, purpose-specific areas as needed—with exceptional privacy ensured by their impressive RW 62dB acoustic integrity.

To complement the overall interior concept, the partition panels were finished in a refined fabric surface, delivering both a soft visual texture and excellent sound absorption.
