Tsinghua University has installed a high-performance acoustic vertical folding retractable wall in a newly built classroom to enable flexible space division.

This ceiling-concealed, electrically operated vertical lift system provides excellent sound insulation while delivering seamless spatial flexibility. When deployed, the wall descends smoothly to create a fully enclosed, private learning environment ideal for focused teaching sessions, group discussions, or lectures within a larger academic space.

Designed and installed as a single integrated unit

The system features advanced obstacle detection, automatically stopping and reversing upon encountering any obstruction to ensure maximum safety. Finished in clean white PVC, the partition complements the university's minimalist architectural aesthetic and remains virtually invisible when fully retracted into the ceiling.

This installation successfully meets Tsinghua's core requirement: delivering strong acoustic privacy between divided areas while preserving maximum openness and natural light when the space needs to function as one.
